At Alocasia Addict, we take great care in preparing and shipping each order to ensure that products arrive in the best possible condition. Please review the information below to understand how shipping is handled, particularly for live plants.
Shipping Destinations
Live Plants
Live plants, corms, stem cuttings, and tissue culture are shipped within the European Union only.
Non-Perishable Products
Non-living products such as pots, plant accessories, and equipment (if available) may be shipped internationally. Available destinations are shown at checkout.
Order Processing Time
Live Plants
Live plants are dispatched on specific weekdays only to reduce the risk of delays during transit.
All plant shipments are subject to weather and seasonal conditions. If temperatures or conditions are not suitable for safe transport, dispatch may be postponed until conditions improve. Such delays are made in the best interest of the plants and do not qualify for order cancellation or refunds.
Non-Perishable Products
Orders containing only non-living products are typically processed and dispatched within 1–3 business days, subject to stock availability.
Shipping Methods & Carriers
Shipping carriers and available services are displayed at checkout based on your location. Shipping costs are calculated automatically and shown before payment is completed.
Shipping Costs & Duties
Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on destination and selected shipping method.
For shipments outside the European Union, any applicable customs fees, duties, or import taxes are the responsibility of the customer.
Tracking Information
All orders are shipped with tracking.
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking details. Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking updates and ensuring timely receipt or collection of their delivery.
Cold Weather & Seasonal Shipping
Live plants are shipped only when temperatures are considered safe for transport.
During colder months, protective measures such as insulation or heat packs may be included where deemed appropriate. These measures help reduce risk but do not guarantee plant survival during transit.
Shipments may be delayed during extreme weather conditions to ensure plant safety.
Delivery Responsibility
Once an order has been handed over to the shipping carrier, delivery is outside of our direct control.
Customers are responsible for:

Being available to receive the delivery

Collecting parcels promptly from pickup points
We are not responsible for plant damage, decline, or loss caused by:

delayed collection

missed delivery attempts

incorrect address information

carrier delays or handling after dispatch
Damaged or Delayed Deliveries
Orders must be inspected immediately upon delivery.
If an order arrives damaged or significantly delayed, you must contact us within 24 hours of delivery.
For any claim involving live plants, clear unboxing video documentation is required, showing:

the plant(s)

the packaging
-
the shipping label
Each case is assessed individually and handled fairly, in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Local Pickup
We currently do not offer local pickup or in-person delivery.
